Ending Period Poverty
Fighting for Equality, One Pad at a Time

The Perils of
Menstrual Neglect

A lack of access to menstrual hygiene products forces homeless women to use alternatives such as cloth scraps, rugs, ashes, and husk sand to soak period blood, which leads to 50,000 deaths every year!

So, who is going to #BreakTheSilence?

Paving the Way for
Responsible Bleeding

By donating free menstrual hygiene products (or pads) to homeless women, we want to protect them from the discomfort associated with inadequate menstrual protection and allow them to allocate their limited resources toward other necessities.

Periods, Power, and Pride: The Menstrual Liberation starts with Cold Cramp

Period Poverty
When access to menstrual liberation
is more than just a dream

Cold Cramp strives to become a support to homeless and underprivileged women where they menstruate safely and gain reliable access to period protection. They already have multiple problems; periods should be one less thing to worry about.

Meet the Trailblazer

Saumya Pandey

Founder, Cold Cramp

A humanitarian at heart, Saumya founded Cold Cramp when she was still pursuing a degree in journalism. A passionate advocate for women's health and well-being, she conceived this initiative to break the shackles of embarrassment, shame, and social stigmatization homeless women go through during their menstrual cycles. She started her journey by distributing free pads to 25 women per month out of her savings and educating them about the significance of menstrual hygiene. Over time, she has successfully driven the company's growth and impact and made Cold Cramp a nation-wide phenomenon. She remains dedicated to shattering boundaries, advocating for women's rights, and shaping a brighter future for women everywhere.

But is it enough?

More than 20,000 women in Delhi-NCR and 5,35,000 all over India lack access to menstrual products. What adds to their misery are social stigma and financial restraints. You have the power to improve their situation by buying just one pad.
